Description
Distilled in 1971, this Bas-Armagnac from Yvan Auban is a rare expression of Gascon craftsmanship and time-honored tradition. Slowly aged in French oak casks, it showcases the finesse of Ugni Blanc grown on the sandy, silty soils of the Bas-Armagnac region. The result is a spirit of remarkable maturity, aromatic depth, and graceful evolution.

Blend
100% Ugni Blanc – the classic Armagnac variety, prized for its vibrant, age-worthy distillates.

Tasting Notes
• Appearance: Deep mahogany with tile-red and copper highlights
• Nose: Elegant and complex. Noble rancio, dried fruits, aged leather, fine woods, blond tobacco, candied orange, and soft spices
• Palate: Broad, velvety, and fully integrated. Prune, fig, cocoa, roasted coffee, gentle licorice. A long, warm, evolving finish with remarkable subtlety

Cellaring Potential
At full maturity. Can still be cellared under proper conditions. A collector’s spirit for contemplative moments.

Food & Armagnac Pairings
Best enjoyed neat, in quiet reflection. Ideal with a fine cigar, intense dark chocolate, or aged blue cheese.
